Snug Hollow Bed and Breakfast

First, let's start at the beginning. We got married March 3, 2019. Leslie Kidd Photography absolutely amazed us with her photos. What a special and blessed day this was. I am so thankful for this man.
We decided to do a small honeymoon before we traveled during the summer of 2019 to Nantucket for a full week ahead. My friend Jaime had heard of this little place in the hills of Eastern Kentucky. Snug Hollow Bed and Breakfast turned out to be the kind of place we long to go back to. It is tucked away in the hills, without internet or television, and it provided the perfect way to slow down after a very busy wedding planning in a record three months!

That's the main house. This was where we ate most of our meals, with the exception of cabin service on our first night because we arrived so late.
Snug Hollow sits on over 300 acres of farmland in red Lick Valley in Appalachia. The farm provides ample space for the abundant garden, which provides much of the vegetarian fare. Now, don't let the no meat idea fool you. Neither of us left any meal feeling hungry. Instead, the food was delectable. But first, let's discuss the accommodations. They have four different places to stay. The Cozy Cabin, The Cottage with a View (where we stayed), Cabin by the Creek, and the Wildwood Studio. Finally, you also choose to stay in a room at the main cabin.

How perfect that it snowed on our first morning. It was March, but it was the perfect mountain morning.
Windows and cozy furniture made the for a lovely reading spot. I took one of the best naps ever under that stairway.

View from the Cabin with a View. I wrapped up in a blanket and took my coffee outside and enjoyed the peace and quiet.
By the afternoon, the snow had melted and the sun was out just a little, so we went hiking.

Now the food was incredible. Barbara Napier is the mastermind behind the whole operation. And the whole thing speaks gourmet, special, and fulfilling.

Each plate was heaven. She also allows guests to supply their own alcohol, so for breakfast, we often took champagne and dinner included wine.
I can't say enough wonderful things about this gem. After writing about this, I am already thinking about booking my next stay.

The Snug Hollow BnB sounded ao marvelous, I contacted the owner and already booked a stay!! Can’t wait to explore this beautiful region and enjoy Barbara’s cooking!! BP
