We were so sad our time in Italy was coming to an end, but Rome's Bed and Bites did not disappoint at all.
First, we stayed at the Marcella Royal Hotel. I showed the beautiful view from our hotel's restaurant when I wrote about Rome.

Ode to Croissants...Ti viglio bene.
Dinners in Rome were incredible.
We started on night one celebrating for Campbell's birthday at Rimessa Roscioli for a wine-paired dinner.
Nothing better than being in Rome on your 21st birthday with others from around the world singing Happy Birthday to you.

The menu.
Let's see if I can load these pictures in order.
You can at least get the idea. Lots of tastings and good food.

The sommelier explained the regions for each wine tasting.

On night two, our dinner was the spot I had my eye on, so I called myself to reserve.
Colline Emiliane was fabulous.

Why did I want to come? For this. Truffle browned butter gnocchi.

Meatballs

I can't remember. But look at those homemade raviolis.

And our final night in Rome took us to Trastevere. I love this neighborhood. We just didn't get to spend as much time here as I like. This place did not take reservations, but I was not going to let that deter me. Trattatoria D'Enzo was raved about in so many places. The line was down the alley one hour before they opened. Fortunately, they served drinks while you waited.

This burrata was so dang good that we ordered a second one. Yes, we looked like 'those' people. But it was our last night and we just didn't want it to end.

Fried zucchini flowers.

Cacio e pepe

Bolognese

This sums our trip up. We all looked like this at every meal.
Our lunches were pretty tasty as well, but I only recorded one of them.

Osteria Fortunate is located in Camp0 di Fiori.

I returned for the carbonara. That crispy pancetta makes my mouth water thinking about it.
So before this great lunch, Robert, Cambpell and I were walking to meet Frennie and Elaine. We just came upon the Antico Forno Roscioli deli. We had to stop and sample some things. The Roscioli family is well-known for their remarkable cuisine, wine, and baked good.

Arancini and pizza

Pastries
And most days included gelato. This little gem one block from our hotel was perfection.

Come il Latte was so good. They even made one-serving brownies that were baked as you wait. Then you topped it with ice cream.
I can't believe I have come to an end on reliving our trip to Europe. It's a trip that will be hard to top, but if you know me, I am just going to keep trying.
